This study was to analyze the research trends of parents of children with ADHD in journal articles from 1992 to 2018 in Korea to provide the basic data for further research of parents of children with ADHD study. Based on the selection criteria, 103 research articles were analyzed by number of articles per year, research methods, research subject, and subjects. As a result of this study, parents of children with ADHD related were most active in 2011 and 2012. In terms of research methods, survey research accounted for more than half of all studies, followed by experimental research. Research studies have been conducted on variety subjects, and research has been conducted mainly on parent’s nurture and perception. Most of the research subjects were parents and mother of children with ADHD. These results were discussed on parental education/counselling, difficulties of rearing children with ADHD, normative study of ADHD rating scale, agreement and difference on parents and teachers rating young children’s ADHD symptoms. Finally, based on the results of the research, the study suggested further research prospects and task.

It developed ’an easy-to-read material production guide for the developmental disabled,’ which suggests the objective indicators regarding easy-to-read material. The guideline development is significant since the issue that the writers of easy-to-read material have been limited to professionals is recognized, which leads the professions supporting people with developmental disabilities to take part in producing easy-to-read material. Thus, the scope of the participants in easy-to-read material production is extended. However, there arises another issue that the content is comprehensive and the guideline on the illustration creation is so brief that it can be hard to apply in the field where the illustration creation plays an important role for those people with developmental disabilities who fall short of literacy. In order to solve the issue, which is the research goal, the illustrations excerpted from fifteen books of fourteen types of easy-to-read materials produced in easy-to-read material center in Seoul according to ‘an easy-to-read material production guide for the developmental disabled.’ This study analyzes the types and the expression techniques of the illustrations and the erroneous illustrations based on the illustration function analysis standard. The analysis gives the implications on the direction of production and publication of easy-to-read material illustrations. Therefore, this research has significance for offering detailed contents to those professions supporting people with developmental disabilities, who desire to produce easy-to-read material.

This study aimed to examine the current operation state of curriculum of lifelong education centers for people with developmental disabilities in Seoul, and also to understand the workers’ perception of curriculum. For this, this study used the mixed methods research of survey and focus group interview. We conducted a survey of 181 workers working at the lifelong education centers for people with developmental disabilities in Seoul, and also conducted a focus group interview with 4 directors. The main results of this study are as follows. First, in the results of examining the educational operation of lifelong education centers for people with developmental disabilities, a lot of the users were male, intellectual disabilities, and in their 20s. There were many cases of operating classes for 45 minutes and not providing classes of each subject. The educational support for each individual was partially performed by most of the centers. Second, in the results of examining the workers’ perception of curriculum of lifelong education centers for people with developmental disabilities, the reinforcement of daily life competencies and participation in community were importantly perceived as the goal of education. In the contents of curriculum, 4 areas out of 6 areas in lifelong education, and all the 8 areas of daily life and future preparation-related curriculum, necessity was high. In the improvement measures for curriculum, the development of manuals for the individualized educational support was the most necessary, on top of emphasizing the curriculum suitable for the characteristics and needs of users. Based on such results of this study, this study suggested the development measures for curriculum of lifelong education centers for people with developmental disabilities.

This study aims to analyze the effects of education for persons with disabilities(EPD) on the elementary preservice teachers in order to have them aware the possibilities of the career education for the student developmentally challenged. 4th grade educuation university students were recruited as follows: 24 students in the experimental group(17 females), 23 students in the control group(14 females). For the total of 10 experimental sessions, each takes about 15 minutes, EPD were given as well as the normal lecture were to the students in the experimental group. These resources were related to occupational life of the disabled as well as successful career lives. the effect of the program was verified analyzing the answers freely written to the question from the participants. Through comparative analysis of pre-post answers, it was revealed in the terms, knowledges expressed by the participants, that the recognition starts budding. Namely, adaptive behavior skills such as self-care and social skills are as much important as skills to carry out the work per se. These resulted were discussed together with the aspect to the improvement of the specilities to enforce the performance of transition education of the general elementary teachers.

Purposes of this research were to investigate effects of psychomotricity under water activities on self expressions of adults with intellectual disability and to provide basic data to construct programs for them in psychomotricity activity field. For this research, sixteen adults, in there twenties, with intellectual disability were selected. The selected adults were divided into two groups as an experimental group and a control group each having eight participants and self expression tests were given to them. To the experimental group, 24 sessions of under water psychomotricity activities were given. Afterwards, post-self expression tests were given to both groups to determine changes between groups. Data analyses were proceeded by SPSS 23. For tests of homogeneity, independent t-tests were administered and mean and standard deviation value of test items were calculated. In addition, paired sample t-tests were administered to search results of pre and post test. The significant level was set as .05 in every data. After administering of under water psychomotricity activities, results of this research were as follows: Self-expression increased after conducting aquatic psychological exercise program for adults with intellectual disabilities. In the subdomain, verbal self-expression, speech self-expression, and non-verbal self-expression increased.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of multicomponent behavioral intervention on hair pulling behavior of child with ASD. The participant of the study was one elementary student with ASD. The intervention was implemented in the special education classroom. A case study was used to investigate the effectiveness of the intervention. The intervention was included behavioral contract, self-evaluation and reinforcement, and differential reinforcement of incompatible behavior. The findings of the study were as follows. First, The intervention was effective in the reduction of target behavior. Second, Child maintained the skills. The findings were discussed and the recommendations were made for future research and practice.
