The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of forest related activities on receptive language for two young children with visual impairments & developmental delays. For this research a pre/post as well as retention tests were applied. Between pre-tests and post-tests, the 14 sessions of forest related activities were intervened. After a month from the post-test, retention tests were implemented. The results showed that forest related activities has a positive influence on receptive language of two young children with visual impairments & developmental delays. The young child(B)'s receptive language level got higher compared to his result of pre-test. Moreover, receptive language level was retained until the time after a month. Also, The young child(A)'s receptive language level got higher compared to his result of pre-test. And young child(A)'s reactions about tactile resistance were seemed lower and his trial levels of spontaneous speech and communication much increased. Finally, the limitations of the this study and suggestions on future research were addressed.

This study is for understanding the effects of cognitive behavior art therapy on self-efficacy and social skills of elementary school student with intellectual disability. The subject of this study is an elementary school student in 4th grade with mild intellectual disability. The cognitive behavior art therapy program was implemented for 18 sessions in total, and each session was carried out once a week for 40 minutes, from September 1st 2017 to November 30th 2017. To investigate the changes about self-efficacy and social skills of the student with intellectual disability, a test of self-efficacy and social skills was carried out before and after implementing the program. Data were analyzed through K-HTP drawing tests as projective tests. Also, we performed qualitative data analysis of behavior development process in self-efficacy and social skills using observation recording sheets from every session. Research results are following. Firstly, behavior observation showed that there is a positive effect on self-efficacy of the elementary student with intellectual disability. Second, behavior observation demonstrated that there is a positive effect on social skills of the elementary student with intellectual disability. Third, in the K-HTP drawing test, we could find that there is an alteration in self-efficacy and social skills as there were changes of the student’s facial expression and the way of observing the house. Forth, throughout the qualitative data analysis, we were able to observe that cognitive behavior art therapy has a positive effect on the self-efficacy and social skills of the student with intellectual disability. With such results, we were able to observe that cognitive behavior art therapy has positive effects on improving self-efficacy and social skills of elementary school student with intellectual disability

The purpose of this study was to analyze the persuasion structure of visual metaphors used in print media public service ads related to disability, and to understand the recipient 's understanding by analyzing the structure of metaphors and the degree of message delivery. In order to analyze the persuasion structure of visual metaphor, we use Greimas' Actantial Model and Greimas' Semiotic Square. In order to analyze the understanding of the visual metaphor, we provided questionnaires to 42 university students majoring in Korean language education. This questionnaire was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study were as follows. First, it was found that 4 public service ads were not enough to convince recipient because they were focused on understanding the inconvenience caused by disabled people. Second, participants understood the structure of visual metaphors correctly, but they understood it differently from the intent of the advertising message. Based on these results, we discussed the direction of the production of visual metaphor for disability related print media public service ads.

This study was aimed to understand the characteristics of community services targeted at the adults with developmental disabilities(DD), and the characteristics and service needs of the population. In order to gain a more complete understanding of the research questions, this study adopted mixed methods based on a convergent parallel design. We conducted a survey of 92 social workers working at the community welfare centers for the disabled in Seoul, and also conducted a focus group interview with 5 social workers in the field. The both types of data were collected concurrently between the end of September and the end of December 2016. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, among the service users with DD, the proportions of those who were old-aged, had a severe disability, and/or complex needs were rapidly increasing. Second, regarding intervention methods, small groups were evaluated as most appropriate, but mid-sized groups were used most frequently. In addition, vocational rehabilitation, daytime activities, and experiential learning programs were identified as useful for adults with DD. Third, program needs and effects were perceived to be different depending on the characteristics of individual clients. In terms of service access, adults with severe DD were found most vulnerable. Based on the results, this study explored the implications of the findings and presented several suggestions for the programs targeted at the adults with DD.

The purpose of this study is to construct a craft-centered art therapy program and to confirm the effect of the program on the reduction of problem behavior such as school maladjustment and internalization symptoms of an adolescent with intellectual disability in inclusive classroom. The participant(client) of the study is a middle school student(14-year old girl) with intellectual disability who is unable to adapt to the inclusive classroom with various problem behaviors. An art therapy program was carried out from April 1 to July 20, 2017 and 1∼2 sessions a week, total 21 sessions. Each session was concentrated on 60∼70 minutes considering the growth characteristics of middle school students. In this study, to verify the effectiveness of the program, we analyzed the pre and post test of HTP and YSR, the analysis by the observer, the work change process and the behavior change process of each sessions. The findings of the study were as the followings that craft-centered art therapy was effective on reducing problem behaviors of an adolescent with intellectual disability in inclusive classroom. Based on the results, in the future craft-centered art therapy program is expected to positive impact indecline of problem behaviors of adolescents with intellectual disabilities in inclusive classrooms.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the support plan of integrated vocational education base school. for successful substantiality. For this purpose, six teachers were selected from among the 48 major schools in Korea nationwide, taking into consideration local conditions and school types. The results of this study are summarized as follows: The results, problems, requirements, national support method, future direction. The focus group interview was done in a way. The analysis of the interviews is as follows. First, As an this management result, It has positively improved providing experiential and field-oriented vocational education for disabled students, employment connection, and the cognition of disability by managers and teachers. Second, the problems of mobility and business connection, lack of awareness of administrators and parents, and lack of support personnel were problems in the operation of integrated vocational education based schools. Third, the requirements for the operation of integrated vocational education based schools include problems selected in general high schools, the actual teacher council and the training. Fourth, national support for integrated vocational education based schools has provided stable budget support and additional support for the workforce. Finally, improvement of integrated vocational education based school showed responsibility division of responsibilities of affiliated institutions, formation of network of close cooperation system, and expansion to small scale in the beginning.
